The Audiologists at Alamance ENT are experts in fitting hearing aids. Finding the exact match for a hearing aid and a patient is a complicated process that depends on many factors. If you are interested in hearing aids, the best way to gather information is to schedule a consultation with one of our audiologists.
Note: If your physician has recommended amplification, in order to determine the most appropriate fitting, it will be necessary for you to return for a Hearing Aid Evaluation appointment with one of our audiologists.
What is a Hearing Aid Evaluation?
During this appointment, the audiologist will discuss a variety of hearing aid styles and technologies. There is no cost or obligation for this visit. This will allow you to spend more time with the audiology staff discussing your personal hearing healthcare needs. This appointment will require approximately one hour.

How Much Do Hearing Aids Cost?
The audiologists at Alamance Ear, Nose & Throat dispense hearing aids ranging in price from $700 - $3000 each. This cost also includes hearing aid insurance and follow-up care provided by our audiology staff. Financial assistance programs are available to those who qualify.
Why is the Price Range So Large?
Both size and technology determine price. Typically, smaller hearing aids cost more than larger ones. The more features a hearing aid has, the more expensive it will be.
Do You Offer a Trial Period?
Yes. All hearing aids dispensed at Alamance Ear, Nose & Throat come with a 30-day evaluation period. During this time, your audiologist will work closely with you to ensure your satisfaction.
Are Digital Hearing Aids Right for Me?
Today, all hearing aids dispensed at Alamance Ear, Nose and Throat are fully digital. Digital technology is available from economy to premium. Your audiologist will discuss all technology levels with you during your Hearing Aid Evaluation.
Do I Need Two Hearing Aids?
In general, most people are hearing impaired in both ears. If there is no medical reason that would prevent you from wearing two hearing aids, then binaural (both ears) amplification will be recommended. Your physician & your audiologist will make this recommendation based on your hearing test results.
My Friend Hates Her Hearing Aids. Will I?
Unfortunately, many people express their dissatisfaction with amplification. The audiology staff at Alamance Ear, Nose & Throat will make every effort to see that you are fit correctly, appropriately counseled and satisfied with your new hearing aids. We will work with you to make certain you are receiving the highest quality hearing health care possible.
