John Ballance, MS, CCC-A

1998 Master of Science in Audiology - Vanderbilt University

1996 Bachelor of Science in Communication Processes & Disorders - University of Florida

Mr. John Ballance joined Alamance Ear, Nose and Throat in June 2007 with almost 10 years of experience as an Audiologist. Although born in North Carolina, he was raised in Florida and is pleased to be back "home." He is a proud graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelors of Science in Communication Process and Disorders. Mr. Ballance spent the next three years in Nashville, TN where he obtained his Masters degree in Audiology and then completed his Clinical Fellowship working with veterans at the VA Hospital.

Mr. Ballance then relocated to Richmond, VA where he worked for six years at the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System providing a variety of audiologic services to all age groups. The next two years at Duke University Medical Center really allowed Mr. Ballance to strengthen his diagnostic skills in a very dynamic environment.

Mr. Ballance appreciates the diversity within the field of Audiology and particularly thrives on the personal relationships he establishes with his hearing aid patients. Working in Alamance County allows him to feel as if he is making a difference within his own community. It is also fitting that, with the last name Ballance, he has great interest in the vestibular system. Whether it is diagnostic testing or treatment of balance disorders, he enjoys the opportunity to meet and provide care to many different individuals.

When he is not at the office, Mr. Ballance enjoys watching television in the company of his two daschunds. Although a fan of all sports, he is frequently cheering for the Florida Gators and attending Carolina Panther football games. In addition to visiting family and friends around the country, he loves to travel to exotic locations, especially St. John in the US Virgin Islands, as well as Costa Rica.
