William W. Vaught, M.D., F.A.C.S.

 

Dr. Vaught is the founding partner of Alamance Ear, Nose and Throat Associates, and has served the people of Alamance County for over 32 years. Dr. Vaught received his undergraduate degree and medical degree from the University of Illinois-Chicago, and completed his residency at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. After 1 year of his residency at Henry Ford Hospital he served his country during the Vietnam conflict from 1970-1972, where he was Battalion Surgeon with the 3rd Marine Division in Okinawa. Dr. Vaught came to Burlington, North Carolina in 1975 where he joined Dr. Paul Abernathy, at the Medical Village office. From there he built the practice now known as Alamance Ear, Nose and Throat at Vaughn Road. Dr. Vaught and his wife, Diane, have raised two children who both graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill, and who both have followed in their father's footsteps as physicians. During his time off Dr. Vaught enjoys bird watching, hunting, fishing, farming, traveling, Carolina basketball, and his 3 granddaughters.

 

Dr. Vaught specializes in Allergy and General Otolaryngology, with an emphasis on hearing and balance disorders, diseases of the head and neck, sensorineural hearing loss with treatment of hearing aids, sinusitis, nasal obstruction and sleep apnea.

 

Dr. Vaught has been treating and caring for patients of Alamance County for more than 32 years with a reputation of compassion and providing the best care possible.
